Philip I, 244-249. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 31 mm, 15.81 g, 12 h), Rome, 245. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, seen from behind. Rev. PAX AETERNA Pax standing front, head to left, holding olive branch in her right hand and long scepter in her left. Cohen 105. RIC 184a. A very attractive example with wonderful olive green patina and a beautiful portrait. Very minor doubling on the reverse and with light deposits, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
